一.唔會call企業公關問回應;
二.即使call左公關回應,但第日都見唔到報;
三.就算見咗報,報道篇幅都唔會大;
四.就算篇幅ok大,電台Phone-in節目亦唔會翻炒翻叮;

  1. Your analogy is not correct. In the experiment cited in point 1, getting two pieces of marshmallow after 10 minutes is a certainty, a given condition. Here, not only that there’s no certainty, what the occupation is fighting for may not necessary be what others want. This brings us to points 2 and 3: We want to fight together for democracy too, but not in this destructive approach, not in this all-or-nothing manner, not with this “I want it and I want it now" attitude. Treating everyone who do not agree with the occupation as pro-Beijing / pro-government will definitely not help the fight for democracy. Unfortunately, this is exactly what dragging on the occupation is doing – alienating the passive support from the active fighters. And we need both sides to succeed.

  2. To the designer of the experiemnt, the 2 marshmellows are a certainty, but in the eyes of the kids in the experiment, they aren’t a certainty: the kids need to wait 10 mins to know if it s a certainty.

    In any event, in this article, the marshmellows are not compared to democracy. They are analogous to some of the anti-occupation people, who think the right to use our roads is more important than fighting for a fair, just and democratic political environment for Hong Kong.

    By the way, “all-or-nothing" seems to describe Beijing’s attitude better. Beijing is saying, “take it or leave it." So when the students shout, “I want it, and I want it now," we should put this in perspective. Very likely, most of what happened in the past month would not have happened if Beijing hadn’t chosen to ignore all proposals put forward by a myriad of political groups in the first place.
